J. N. Carpathia is an independent advisory practice focused on ownership transitions and private capital relationships. We work with founders and business owners considering significant strategic decisions, and with capital providers seeking thoughtful origination and carefully matched opportunities.
The practice is built around direct relationships, careful judgment, and a genuine interest in long-term outcomes. We maintain a limited number of engagements at any given time, by design.
Our starting point is always alignment between the business, the capital, and the expectations on each side. A transaction is only successful when the fit is right for everyone involved.
I started this practice because I kept seeing the same problem. Owners ready to transition, capital ready to deploy, and a process that failed not on price or structure, but on fit. Misaligned expectations, assumptions left unexamined, and nobody with enough independence to slow things down when that was the right call.
J. N. Carpathia is a new practice, and I am not going to pretend otherwise. What I can offer is careful thinking, genuine independence, and full attention to the work. I take on engagements where I believe I can be materially useful, and I decline those where I cannot.
